INSTRUCTION

My Course

Master Class 1

Three professional animation lectures. Topics of “Appeal”, “Process” and “Restraint”. I have packed as much as I possibly can into these classes to provide you with what I consider to be the most important tools for industry animators. I’ve structured this class in such a way that it is geared for everyone! (ages 14 and above, both CG and Hand Drawn) From veteran animators wanting to take their work to the next level, to those just starting out.

Master Class 2

Three LIVE professional animation lectures. Topics covered are: “Facial Animation/ Dialogue”, “Body Dynamics”, and “Comedy”. These lectures will dive into the details of animation refinement and polish, along with valuable insight on dynamic movement and making more comedic choices. I will also animate a shot, from start to finish, in front of the class.

Master Class 3

My final three LIVE animation lectures. Interested in learning the specifics of powerful singing animation? This is the class for you. Topics covered are: “Singing (Part 1)”, “Dancing” and “Singing (Part 2)”. These lectures will help you learn how to animate singing the Disney way. I will demo several important concepts that I always look for in musical performances.

FAQ’s

Animation is an amazingly fulfilling career. The hours can be long and the schedules crunched but it’s extremely rewarding work when you see the joy your animation brings to an audience.

In many ways I was self taught but there are all kinds of resources today that I never had while I was learning. Aside from my class, much of the best instruction can be found online.

Never! You’ll never know how much you love it until you try. It will be hard work but anything worthwhile, of course, requires great effort.

There are many skilled CG animators that do not draw, However, I still highly recommend drawing as it helps inform so many aspects of your animation work. I will discuss this more in depth in my class.
